Four persons were arrested by the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office over the weekend with two of them on related charges.
According to the sheriff’s office, Anthony Dean Brown, 46, and Laurissa Ann Wilson, 43, both of Trenton, were arrested by the Trenton Police Department on Grundy County warrants and are accused of the manufacture of a controlled substance within 2,000 feet of a school or college, a class B felony, and endangering the welfare of a child, a class D felony. They are accused of growing and cultivating marijuana near Trenton High School on July 27 and also possessing and using marijuana in the presence of a child under 17 also on that same date.
Brown is being held in the Grundy County Detention Center on a $20,000 cash-only bond. Ms. Wilson posted a $20,000 cash or corporate surety bond and was released from custody. They are both to appear in court on Aug. 13.
Emily Nicole Turner, 19, Jamesport, was arrested for tampering with a motor vehicle, a class D felony, and possession of a controlled substance except 35 grams or less of marijuana or synthetic cannabinoid.
She is accused of possessing methamphetamine and operating a motor vehicle without the owner’s consent on July 24. She is being held in the GCDC on a $15,000 cash or corporate surety bond and is to appear in court on Aug. 13.
Also arrested was Ryan Earl Vencill, 30, Trenton. He is charged with failure to display plates on a motor vehicle. He posted $150 cash bond and is to appear in court on Aug. 13.
