Brunswick Woman Fails To Appear In Court

A Brunswick woman who failed to appear in court has been arrested.
According to the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office, Carmen J. Menzies, 39, was arrested Monday in Chariton County after failing to appear in Grundy County Court on charges of unlawful use of drug paraphernalia, possession of up to 35 grams of marijuana and driving while revoked or suspended. Feb. 16: firefighters responded to a structure fire at 432 W. Crowder Rd., where a resident had noticed a small amount of fire on the back porch of the home. The porch sustained extensive damage, with the structure sustaining minor damage. The fire also spread to the yard around the house. The cause of the fire appears to be accidental in nature. Local Man Is Arrested After Missing Court Date

A Trenton man who failed to appear in court has been arrested and is being held on cash bond.
According to the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office, Brandon N. Kleihauer, 20, was arrested for failing to appear in court on an original charge of property damage, a class B misdemeanor. He is being held in the Grundy County Detention Center on $1,200 cash-only bond and is scheduled to appear in court

Area Man Facing Parole Violation

An area man is now being held without bond after violating the terms of his parole.
According to the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office, Timothy Nguyen, Spickard, who was already in custody in the Grundy County Detention Center on unrelated charges, is accused of violating the terms of his parole on an original charge of first degree burglary. Man Arrested On Bad Check Charge

A Trenton man posted cash bond after turning himself in to the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office.
According to the sheriff’s office, Lyle Hendee, Jr., 51, was arrested on a charge of passing bad checks, a class E felony (aggregate amount over $750 within a 10-day period). He is accused of writing $400 checks to Mike Wogan and Emily Wertz on Jan. 12 and a check to Anthony Hughes for $160
