Charges Are Facing Four

Four persons have been arrested over the weekend, including a man charged in two Spickard burglaries.
According to the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office, Nicholas Martin, a 24-year-old Trenton man, is being held on $20,000 cash-only bond after being arrested on two class C felony charges of second degree burglary. Martin is accused of entering unlawfully two inhabitable structures in Spickard for the purpose of stealing. One building was at N.W.

Jamesport Man Arrested

A Jamesport man was arrested Friday for failing to appear in court on three charges.
According to the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office, Roni L. Bechtel, 45, Jamesport, failed to appear in court on charges of not wearing a seat belt, not maintaining financial responsibility for a vehicle and failing to register a motor vehicle. He has posted cash bonds totaling $350 and is also scheduled to appear in court Jan.

Two Arrested In Buchanan County

Two women were arrested Thursday in Buchanan County on Grundy County warrants charging them with passing bad checks.
According to the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office, Ashley Snidow, 20, Marceline, is charged with two class A misdemeanor counts of passing bad checks. She is accused of writing a check to Hy-Vee on May 31, 2014 for $15.16 and to Amoco on June 5, 2014 for $67.84, knowing they would not be

Cameron Man Out On Bond

A Cameron man has posted bond after turning himself into the Grundy County Sheriff’s Department on Wednesday.
Joel Leposky, 52, is to appear in court on Jan. 24 after posting a $200 cash-only bond. He is charged with endangering the welfare of a child, a second degree offense.

Man Arrested For Violating Protection Order

A Trenton man has been arrested after violating a protection order for an adult.
According to the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office, James I. Lewellen, 55, was arrested Monday for violating a court order of protection for an adult at 1001 Laclede St. The incident allegedly occurred on Oct. 8. He is being held in the Grundy County Detention Center on $2,500 cash-only bond and is scheduled to appear in court

A Trenton woman has posted bond after being arrested for passing bad checks.
