Arrest Made On Check Charge

A 2013 incidence of passing bad checks has resulted in a Hamilton man being arrested.
According to the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office, Grant A. Smith, 24, was arrested in Harrison County on a Grundy County warrant charging him with a misdemeanor of passing bad checks. He is accused of writing a check to Trenton Main Stop on Aug. 13, 2013 in the amount of $7.93, knowing it would not be paid. He is being held on $400 cash-only bond and is scheduled to appear in court Jan. 27.
