Several arrests were made over the weekend, including the arrest of a Chillicothe man who is being held on bonds totaling $300,000 cash.
According to the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office, Michael E. Oleson, 48, Chillicothe, failed to appear in court on original charges of distribution/delivery/manufacturing of a controlled substance (two charges) and distributing a controlled substance near a school, all felony charges. He is being returned to Grundy County from the Daviess-DeKalb Detention Center and no court date has been set.
Also being held on cash bond is Perry W. Baden, 48, Oak Grove, who has been charged with passing bad checks, a class C felony. He is accused of writing a check for $92.82 to Orscheln on Sept. 27, 2012 on a non-existent account at Academy Bank. He was arrested while in the custody of the Missouri Department of Corrections in St. Joseph and is being held on $500 cash-only bond. He is scheduled to appear in court Tuesday.
Also scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday is 31-year-old Charles J. Heffner of Coffey, who is charged with receiving stolen property, a class C felony. He was arrested at the Missouri Department of Corrections in Cameron and is accused of receiving a lawn mower and industrial air compressor on Nov. 7, 2011, knowing or believing they had been stolen. His bond is $15,000 cash or corporate surety and he remains in custody.
A Trenton woman, Christina D. Airey, 45, was arrested for failing to appear in court on a charge of operating a vehicle on the highway without a valid license and speeding. She has posted a total of $400 cash-only bond and is scheduled to appear in court Tuesday.
Green City resident Jill Scott, 34, is charged with a misdemeanor count of passing bad checks. She allegedly wrote a check to Amoco on June 17, 2013, for $43.87, knowing it would not be paid. She has posted $500 cash-only bond and is also scheduled to appear in court Tuesday.
