Galt Man Charged With Weapons Violation

A Galt man is in custody after being charged with unlawful use of a firearm.
According to the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office, Kenneth J. Pate, 51, is being held on $15,000 cash-only bond after being found to be in possession of a Remington shotgun and a Jimenez handgun, which is a violation of law due to his status as a convicted felon. He is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday.
