Two Arrested Over Weekend, One Charged With DWI

Two local men were arrested over the weekend, including one who is charged with driving while intoxicated.
According to the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office, 69-year-old Robert W. Sims of Trenton was arrested Nov. 3 on a misdemeanor charge of driving while intoxicated. He is accused of operating a motor vehicle at the intersection of Ninth and Kitty streets while under the influence of alcohol. He has posted $500 cash bond and is scheduled to appear in court Nov. 12.
Also arrested was 18-year-old Colin Ferguson of Trenton, who was arrested on a probation violation, accused of violating the terms of that probation on an original charge of second degree burglary. His bond is $15,000 cash-only and he remains in the Grundy County Detention Center. He is scheduled to appear in court Nov. 14.
