Moses Miranda Captured, In Custody At GCDC

A Chillicothe man who eluded area law enforcement officers has been captured and is being held in the Grundy County Detention Center.
According to the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office, Moses Miranda, 46, is charged with two counts of first degree burglary, both class B felonies, theft of a firearm, a class C felony, and stealing, a class C felony.
The charges stem from burglaries on Sept. 17 at the homes of Delbert and Martha Jackson at 1171 N.E. Garnet Ln., near Galt, and Josh and Jill Eaton at 33 N.E. Highway N. He allegedly entered their homes with a deadly weapon for the purpose of stealing. Among the items taken were six handguns as well as jewelry, U.S. currency, electronics, knives and household goods, valued at more than $500.
Miranda is being held on $20,000 cash-only bond.
Two other persons, Stephanie L. Rodriguez, 30, and Carson Symmonds, 32, also both of Chillicothe, are also being held in connection with the burglaries, with all three scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday. They are all suspects in several other local and area burglaries.
In an unrelated case, a Princeton woman, Lesley J. Honn, 25, was arrested over the weekend and charged with possession of a controlled substance, a class C felony. She is accused of possessing Dilaudid, a scheduled II controlled substance, knowing of its presence and nature. Her bond is $10,000 and she remains in the Grundy County Detention Center, with a court date of Tuesday.
