Eight counts of forgery are facing a Trenton woman who allegedly wrote checks on another person’s account in 2011.

The Grundy County Sheriff’s Office has released information indicating that Melissa Bye, 30, has been charged with eight counts of forgery for writing the following checks on account at Farmers Bank of Northern Missouri owned by Cary Sharp: on Oct. 10 to Hy-Vee for $100; on Nov. 1 to Hy-Vee for $100; on July 1 to Amoco/BP for $160; on July 17 to Amoco/BP for $100; on July 17 to Pamida for $150; on July 22 to Pamida for $150; and two checks on Sept. 2 to Easter’s for $100 each.
She is being held on $25,000 cash or corporate surety bond and is scheduled to appear in court on May 22.
