A Chillicothe woman has been charged with five counts of forgery in connection with checks written last week.

According to the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office, 31-year-old Kimberly Murray is accused of passing the following checks on an account owned by Bill and Cheri Ward, making the checks look like they were genuine: on Feb. 17 to Casey’s for $85.06; on Feb. 17 to Casey’s for $125.29; on Feb. 17 to Casey’s for $90; on Feb. 18 to Casey’s for $156.34; and on Feb. 18 to Lakeview for $95.88. She remains in jail on $25,000 cash or corporate surety bond and is scheduled to appear in court Feb. 28.
