A Trenton man is being held in the Grundy County Detention Center after being arrested on a charge of statutory rape.

Jeffrey A. VanHoozer, 31, of 1423 Chestnut St., was arrested on Monday. He is charged with committing a Class C felony statutory rape in the second degree between Sept. 7 and Sept. 9, 2011. Bond has been set at $20,000, cash only, and he is to appear in court on Feb. 14.
