Additional Charges Are Filed Against Two

Additional charges have been filed against two men who are being held on drug charges.

According to the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office, 28-year-old Richard McDonald of Trimble is now facing a charge of possession of up to 35 grams of marijuana, a misdemeanor, while 31-year-old Christopher Molloy of Galt is facing a misdemeanor charge of unlawful use of drug paraphernalia (two glass pipes). Both men were arrested early Wednesday at a local motel after officers with the Trenton Police Department executed a search warrant at the motel room. Bond for both men was set at $2,500 cash-only on the new charges, however both men are being held on $15,000 cash-only bond on charges of possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) and McDonald also faces a charge of endangering the welfare of a child.
The men, as well as another defendant in the case, Machelle Dowell, 26, of Trenton, are all scheduled to appear in court Nov. 22.
