Fight Results In Charges Against Two

A fight between two Galt men has resulted in charges filed against both of them.

According to the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office, John B. Carr, 22, has been charged with two counts of third degree assault, while Joseph A. Vivone, 23, has been charged with one count of third degree assault. Carr is accused of attempting physical injury to Vivone by means of a deadly weapon by displaying a knife during a physical altercation. He is also accused of repeatedly hitting him in the head during the fight.
Vivone is facing one count of assault for repeatedly hitting Carr in the head during the fight, which occurred on Aug. 29.
Both men remain in the Grundy County Detention Center, with bond for Carr set at $5,000 cash-only and bond for Vivone set at $2,500 cash-only. Both are scheduled to appear in court Sept. 13.
