Two Arrested After Failing to Appear in Court

Two area men were arrested Monday after failing to appear in court.

According to the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office, Jacob Newton, a 26-year-old Trenton man, was arrested for not appearing in court on charges of operating a vehicle without a valid license, driving while intoxicated and possession of up to 35 grams of marijuana. He has posted $1,000 cash bond and is scheduled to appear in court Aug. 23.
Also scheduled to appear in court Aug. 23 is 27-year-old Paul T. Fields, Jr., of Lock Springs, who was arrested for not appearing in court on a charge of non-support. He has also posted $1,000 bond.
