One Faces Assault Charge; Another Held For Not Appearing In Court

Two persons are now being held in the Grundy County Detention Center, with one facing an assault charge and one being held for failing to appear in court.

According to the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office, Mark T. Ledbetter, Jr., a 26-year-old Trenton resident, has been charged with second degree domestic assault after allegedly causing physical contact with a female with whom he was living on July 12. He is being held on $2,500 bond and is scheduled to be in court July 22.
Also arrested was 28-year-old James C. Gallus of Savannah, who failed to appear in court to face four counts of passing bad checks. His bond is $15,000 cash-only and his next court appearance is scheduled for Aug. 12.
