Man Accused In Drug Case

A Trenton man has been charged with manufacturing methamphetamine and is being held in the Grundy County Detention Center.

According to the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office, 32-year-old Jason Wheelbarger is charged with the class B felony. He is accused of knowingly manufacturing methamphetamine, a controlled substance, by possessing glass jars, a jar of a slightly cloudy liquid, coffee filters, lithium batteries, aluminum foil and anhydrous ammonia. Those items, used together, can be used to manufacture methamphetamine. Wheelbarger, who was already in the GCDC on a probation violation, is now being held on a $50,000 cash-only bond.
