Man Charged In May Incident

A Trenton man is being held in St. Joseph after being arrested in Buchanan County for assaulting a law enforcement officer and resisting arrest.

According to the Grundy County Sheriff’s Department, 29-year-old Jerry Brock of Trenton is charged in connection with an incident in May in which he allegedly assaulted Trenton Police Officer Tim Phipps by pushing him and resisting arrest by not allowing officers to put handcuffs on him and fleeing on foot.
Brock was expected to post $5,000 bond today. His court date had not been set as of this morning.
