Break-Ins Reported At Galt

Two Galt businesses were broken into overnight Friday, with cash and various items stolen.

According to the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office, the break-ins were discovered Saturday morning at Cindy’s Cafe and Doug’s Market. Burglars had thrown a rock through the front window of the cafe and taken less than $100 in change. At Doug’s Market, the burglars had broken the front glass and broken the side door of the business, taking cash, 27 cartons of cigarettes, 88 movies, 14 cans of soft drinks, with a total loss of around $2,000.
