Two Facing Check Charges

Two Trenton residents have been arrested for passing bad checks, with one still being held in the Grundy County Jail.

According to the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office, Richard Tunnell, 28, is accused of writing a check to Quick Cash on Aug. 1, 2007 in the amount of $345. He has posted $700 cash-only bond.
Jennifer Tunnell, 26, faces six counts of passing bad checks in connection with the following checks being written in 2007 when she knew they would not be paid: on April 1 to Save-A-Lot for $7.28; on April 12 to Main Stop for $10.10; on April 17 to Family Care Pharmacy for $34.62; on April 20 to Pamida for $84.18; and on May 1 to Family Care Pharmacy for $68.18. Ms. Tunnell remains in jail in lieu of $1,300 cash-only bond.
Both defendants are scheduled to appear in court Feb. 13.
