Three Are Held In County Jail

Three men are being held in the Grundy County Jail after being arrested on unrelated charges.

According to the Grundy County Sheriff’s Department, 48-year-old Steven Still of Keytesville is charged with non-support for failing to provide court-ordered financial support to his three minor children. He remains in jail in lieu of $25,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court Tuesday.
Also arrested was 32-year-old Michael Orr of Laclede, who failed to appear in court Aug. 16 on an original charge of non-support. Bond was set at $10,000 cash only and he is scheduled to appear in court Sept. 13.
A third person, 31-year-old Dilman Mathis of Ridgeway was arrested for passing bad checks. He is accused of writing a $69.90 check to Hy-Vee on June 27, 2006 and a $53.50 check to Main Stop on July 27, 2006, knowing they would not be paid. Bond was set at $600 cash-only and he remains in jail, with a Tuesday court date.
