A Trenton man is in the Grundy County Jail after being arrested for assaulting a law enforcement officer and resisting arrest.

According to the Grundy County Sheriff’s Department, 20-year-old Caleb Ingraham is facing two class A misdemeanor charges after the Trenton Police Department responded to a call on July 15. While Officer Randy Burks and Det. Jerry Smith were attempting to arrest Ingraham for civil detoxification, Ingraham resisted the arrest and head-butted Officer Burks in the side of the head.
Bond was set at $4,000 cash-only and Ingraham is scheduled to appear in court July 24.
