A Spickard man is being held in the Grundy County Jail after being arrested for burglary, while another man has posted bond on a charge of endangering the welfare of a child.

According to the Grundy County Sheriff’s Department, 33-year-old Benjamine Pratt of Spickard is charged with second degree burglary in connection with an incident June 15 in which he allegedly entered a structure at 103 S. Main St., owned by Chris Hoffman, for the purpose of stealing. He is being held on $10,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court July 10.
Also arrested was 29-year-old Joseph P. Orndorff of Trenton, who is charged with second degree endangering the welfare of a child and is accused of acting with criminal negligence in a manner that created a substantial risk to the life and body or health of two minor children by failing to provide a safe and sanitary environment for them.
Orndorff has posted $2,500 bond and is scheduled to appear in court July 10.
