Two Men Charged In Cases

Two Trenton men are being held in the Grundy County Jail after being arrested on unrelated charges involving burglary and assault.

According to the Grundy County Sheriff’s Department, 20-year-old Michael Wilson is charged with second degree burglary, a class C felony, in connection with an incident on June 28 in which he knowingly entered and unlawfully remained at an inhabitable structure at 2001 E. Ninth Street, which was occupied by Hale’s Fireworks. Bond was set at $10,000 and Wilson, who was already incarcerated on a probation violation, remains in jail awaiting a July 10 court date.
Also arrested was 51-year-old Stanley Patterson of Trenton who is charged with two counts of assault of a law enforcement officer, two counts of domestic assault and one count of resisting arrest. According to the sheriff’s department, Patterson was arrested Saturday after assaulting Trenton Police Sgt. Kris Schmidt and Sgt. Jeb Walker and assaulting two female members of his household. He also attempted to resist arrest. Bond was set at $12,500 and he remains in jail, with a court date of July 10.
