Four persons have been arrested recently, including two that are charged with sexual abuse, one charged with a drug offense and one charged with failing to appear in court.

According to the Grundy County Sheriff’s Department, 45-year-old James L. Baker of Trenton is being held on $20,000 cash bond after being charged with two counts of sexual abuse. He is accused of knowingly subjecting two subjects to sexual contact by the use of forcible compulsion. One incident occurred on June 22, while another one occurred between mid-May and June 23. Baker was scheduled to appear in court today.
Also charged with sexual abuse was 27-year-old Jeremy Johnson of Trenton, who is accused of subjecting a female to sexual contact by the use of forcible compulsion on June 18. Bond was set at $20,000 and he was also scheduled to appear in court today.
A 38-year-old Trenton woman, Sherrie M. Thomas, has been charged with conspiracy to commit the offense of creating a controlled substance. She is accused of conspiring with Rex Winters to create a controlled substance by purchasing with him pseudoephedrine pills. She has posted $10,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court July 10.
The fourth person arrested was Travis J. Cubbage, 25, Chillicothe, who is accused of failing to appear in court on three counts of passing bad checks. Bond was set at $500 cash-only and he was to appear in court today.
