Several Facing Charges In Grundy County

Several persons were arrested over the weekend and are facing charges in Grundy County, including a Milan man charged with child molestation.
According to the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office, Daniel E. Windsor, Jr., 27, Milan, is charged with first degree child molestation, a class B felony. He is accused of subjecting a child under the age of 14 to sexual contact between 2010 and 2011. His bond is $50,000 cash only and he is scheduled to appear in court Tuesday.
A former Trenton resident, Michelle S. Curtis, 52, is facing several charges after being arrested in Warren County, IA on a Grundy County warrant. She is charged with possession of a controlled substance: methamphetamine/MDMA (commonly known as Ectasy), a class D felony, as well as possession of marijuana, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, both class D misdemeanors. She is also accused of failing to appear in court on an original charge of failing to signal when turning left and of violating the terms of her probation on two original charges of possession of a controlled substance, both class C felonies. She is being returned to Grundy County from Iowa and is being held on bonds totaling $46,200 cash only. She is scheduled to appear in court Tuesday on the new charges and the traffic violation and on April 12 on the probation violations.
Trenton resident Erin N. Gathercole, 21, is charged with the class B felony of first degree burglary. She is accused of entering into a residence at 409 W. 11th St., for the purpose of committing assault. She is being held in the Grundy County Detention Center on $25,000 cash-only bond, with a Tuesday court appearance scheduled.
Also facing charges is Jonathon B. Woods, 26, Trenton, who is facing a class D felony of possession of a controlled substance: amphetamine/methamphetamine, as well as misdemeanor charges of resisting a lawful detention, operating a motor vehicle without a valid license and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. He is accused of possessing marijuana, methamphetamine, a grinder and smoking pipes, as well as fleeing from Trenton Police Officer Matt Preston when Officer Preston was attempting to make a traffic stop on West 10th Street. Woods was also operating the a motor vehicle without a valid license. He is being held on cash bonds totaling $20,000, with a court date on Tuesday.
A Trenton man, 21-year-old Tristan Vencill has posted $700 cash-only bond after being arrested Friday for violating the terms of his probation on original charges of hindering prosecution and making a false affidavit to mislead a public servant, both class A misdemeanors. Vencill is scheduled to be in court on Tuesday.
New charges have been filed against Hayden McGill, a 20-year-old Trenton man who was already being held in the Grundy County Detention Center on other charges. McGill is now charged with two counts of second degree property damage, both class B misdemeanors, and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, a class D misdemeanor. He is accused of breaking a cell phone and a kerosene lamp, both owned by Tara Fulk, on March 18, as well as possessing a glass tube for the purpose of ingesting a controlled substance into the human body. Bond for these offenses has been set at $2,500 cash only and he remains in the GCDC, with a court appearance scheduled for Tuesday.
