A Rushville man died Tuesday after falling through the ice at the Jamesport Community Lake.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 71-year-old Otto F. Sonnenmoster was ice fishing on the northeast point of the lake and fell through the ice. He was pronounced dead at the scene by Daviess County Coroner David Jason Smith. Cpl. N.J. Greiner investigated the drowning, with assistance from several other members of the MSHP as well as the Missouri Department of Conservation and the Daviess County Sheriff’s Department.
