Two area men were arrested after failing to appear in court.
According to the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office, Harold L. Knight, 57, Trenton, was arrested after failing to appear in court on charges of driving while intoxicated and operating a motor vehicle with brakes not in good working order. Bond on those charges was set at $1,200 cash-only, however, he is also facing two class A misdemeanor charges of passing bad checks. He is accused of writing checks to Hy-Vee for $7.56 and Trenton Main Stop for $38.14 in November 2018, knowing they would not be paid. That bond was set at $416.20 cash only. Knight is scheduled to appear in court on June 23.
Also scheduled for a June 23 court appearance is 60-year-old Dennis W. Hudlemeyer of Gallatin, who failed to appear in court on a charge of failing to register a motor vehicle and turned himself into authorities on June 15. He has posted $125 cash-only bond.
