Meth Charge Facing Local Woman

A charge of possession of a controlled substance is facing a Trenton woman accused of possessing methamphetamine.
According to the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office, 37-year-old Kandi L. Johnson is charged with possession of a controlled substance except 35 grams or less of marijuana, a class D felony. She is accused of possessing the methamphetamine on Sept. 16, the day of her arrest. She is being held in the Grundy County Detention Center on $15,000 cash-only bond, with a court appearance set for Sept. 25.
