A Trenton woman is in jail after allegedly stabbing a household member, while another woman is facing new charges of stealing a controlled substance from a local nursing facility.
According to the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office, Heather Michael, 32, has been charged with second degree domestic assault, a class D felony. She is accused of knowingly causing physical injury to a household member by stabbing him in the right arm and abdomen. The incident allegedly occurred on July 8. She is being held on cash-only $10,000.
Also arrested was Krensa K. Williams, 33, Trenton, who has been charged with three class D felonies of stealing a controlled substance/methamphetamine manufacturing materials. She is accused of stealing hydrocodone, a controlled substance, from three patients at Sunnyview Nursing Home. One charge occurred between Oct. 11, 2017 and May 23, 2018, while another occurred on June 28 and another between Feb. 27 and May 23. Her bond has been set at $10,000 cash and she is scheduled to appear in court July 10.
A third person, Javier Hernandez, 32, Kansas City, has been arrested on a class E felony of non-support, accused of not providing court-ordered child support for one minor child from June 1, 2016 through May 31, 2017. The total amount owed is $33,508.58. In addition, he was arrested for violating the terms of his probation on a previous charge of non-support. He is scheduled to be in court Tuesday on the new charge and Thursday on the violation. His bonds total $25,000 cash only.
