Four persons have been arrested in unrelated cases, including one who is charged with stealing.
According to the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office, Tristan L. Vencill, a 22-year-old Trenton man, is being held in the Grundy County Detention Center on a $1,500 cash-only bond after being arrested on a class A misdemeanor of stealing. He is accused of stealing $200 from Cheyenne Huskey on Sept. 27, 2017. Vencill is scheduled to appear in court on July 10, as is Jay W. Loran DeLong, a 56-year-old Trenton man who is charged with fourth degree domestic assault, a class A misdemeanor. He is accused of knowingly causing physical contact with a household member, knowing that person would regard it as offensive. The incident allegedly occurred on July 1. DeLong’s bond is $2,500 cash only and he remains in custody.
Two persons are being held in the GCDC after violating the terms of their probation. Taya Sternquist, 19, Trenton, is accused of violating the terms of her probation on original charges of possession of a controlled substance and endangering the welfare of a child. She is scheduled to appear in court July 12, as is Missy L. Obey, 50, Unionville, who is being held on $15,000 bond after being arrested for violating the terms of her probation on an original charge of stealing.
