Two men have been arrested for possessing methamphetamine and a third person has been arrested for failing to appear in court.
According to the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office, 19-year-old Hayden McGill of Trenton and Scott L. Sims, 45, Galt, are both facing class D felony charges of possession of a controlled substance except 35 grams or less of marijuana/synthetic cannabinoid. McGill is accused of possessing methamphetamine on March 18 and Sims is accused of possessing the same substance on March 19. In addition, Sims was arrested for failing to appear in court or pay on an original charge of operating a motor vehicle without a valid driver’s license. McGill is being held on $15,0000 cash-only bond, while Sims’ bonds total $15,300 cash only.
Also arrested was Cole W. Wright, 37, Trenton, who failed to appear in court or pay on an original charge of fourth degree domestic assault and resisting arrest, both class A misdemeanors. He has posted $150 cash bond.
All three men are scheduled to appear in court March 27.
