A Laredo man is being held in the Grundy County Detention Center on cash-only bond while two others arrested over the weekend have posted bond.
The Grundy County Sheriff’s Office has reported that Dustin M. Haskins, a 34-year-old Laredo man, turned himself into authorities this morning and is being held in the GCDC on $25,000 cash-only bond. He is charged with two class D felony counts of non-support, owing court-ordered support for two minor children in excess of 12 months. Count I covers the dates of July 1, 2015 to June 30, 2016 at which time he owed a total of $11,918.33 for that time period and Count II covers the dates of July 1, 2016 to June 30, 2017 at which time he owed a total of $15,261.41 for that time period. Haskins is on the docket to appear in court Tuesday.
Also scheduled to appear in court Tuesday is Matthew S. Goerne, a 36-year-old Chillicothe resident, who has posted $3,500 cash-only bond after being arrested on two class A misdemeanor charges of violating a protection order for an adult. He is accused of contacting a person for whom there was a court order prohibiting contact through calls and text messages and acting in a harassing manner. The alleged incidents occurred Feb. 6-12 and Feb. 13-18.
A third person, 35-year-old Veronica L. Gerdes of Chillicothe, was arrested for failing to appear in court on a charge of failing to drive on the right half of the roadway when the roadway was of sufficient width, a class C misdemeanor. She has posted $200 cash-only bond and has a Tuesday court appearance scheduled.
