Three Facing Drug Charges; One Fails To Appear Or Pay

Four persons were arrested over the weekend, including three charged with possession of drugs and one who failed to appear in court or pay on several charges.
According to the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office, three area men, 17-year-old Michael R. Oesch of Princeton, 20-year-old Joseph S. Parr of Cameron and 21-year-old Joseph M. Herrity III of Chillicothe, were all arrested Sunday, charged with a class D felony of possession of a controlled substance except 35 grams or less of marijuana or synthetic cannabinoid. All three are accused of possessing methamphetamine and are being held in the Grundy County Detention Center on $15,000 cash-only bond. They are scheduled to appear in court Feb. 27.
Also arrested was Mann J. Pittman, an 18-year-old Laredo man, who had failed to appear in court or pay on the following charges: being a person under the age of 18 purchasing or attempting to purchase cigarettes, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, resisting arrest, operating a vehicle on the highway without a valid license, failing to yield to an emergency vehicle, speeding, failing to drive on the right half of the roadway when the roadway was of sufficient width and failing to properly affix/fasten motor vehicle or trailer plates. All of the charges are misdemeanors and Pittman is being held in the Grundy County Detention Center on bonds totaling $8,000 cash only. He is also scheduled to appear in court Feb. 27.
