Cash bond has been set for a Humphreys woman who was arrested Friday on drug charges, while a Trenton man has posted bond after being arrested for failing to appear in court.
According to the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office, 29-year-old Penni M. Richards is charged with the class D felony of possession of a controlled substance and a class E felony of possession of drug paraphernalia: amphetamine/methamphetamine. She is accused of possessing methamphetamine, a controlled substance, as well as items used to inject, inhale or otherwise introduce into the body a controlled substance, including multiple glass tubes, cotton swabs, a straw and a pencil sharpener. Her bond has been set at $20,000 cash only and she remains in custody in the Grundy County Detention Center, with a court appearance scheduled for Tuesday.
Also scheduled to appear in court Tuesday is 37-year-old Jacob S. Olmstead, who was arrested after failing to appear in court on a charge of misdemeanor stealing. He has posted $750 cash bond.
