Tickets Issued In Accident

No injuries were reported in an accident investigated recently at the intersection of 17th Street and Oklahoma Avenue.
According to Trenton Police Department Sgt. Larry Smith’s report, a vehicle driven by Juanita M. Edwards, 88, of Trenton, was stopped at the stop sign on 17th Street when she attempted to turn left onto Oklahoma Avenue. Her vehicle struck the driver’s side of vehicle driven by Kendall D. Barnes, 28, of Trenton, which was turning left onto 17th Street.
Ms. Edwards said she did not see the Barnes vehicle prior to impact. She was ticketed for failing to yield at a stop sign.
Barnes was issued a ticket for driving while suspended.
