One Injured In Accident Near Princeton

Two Princeton residents were involved in an accident Wednesday afternoon four miles west of that town.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol accident report, the accident occurred when a truck driven by James M. Lunde was westbound on Elk Road, while a car driven by Mallorye Birge was eastbound. Prior to meeting at a blind curve, Lunde’s truck crossed the center line and struck the car head-on within the curve. Both vehicles came to rest on their wheels. Ms. Birge sustained minor injuries and was transported by private vehicle to Harrison County Community Hospital in Bethany. Her car was totaled, while Lunde’s truck sustained moderate damage. The accident was investigated by Cpl. J.A. Pithan.
