Several Persons Arrested On Grundy County Charges

Several persons have been arrested and are facing various charges in Grundy County, including a Trenton man who was already in custody.
According to the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office, 19-year-old Colby Weaver is facing a charge of first degree sexual abuse, a class C felony. Weaver, who was already being held in the Grundy County Detention Center on other charges, is accused of knowingly subjecting a person to sexual contact when that person was incapable of consent. The incident allegedly occurred on Jan. 19. Bond on this charge has been set at $25,000 cash-only and Weaver is scheduled to appear in court May 9.
Also scheduled to appear in court May 9 is Michael D. Burns, 42, Odessa, who is charged with non-support, a class E felony. He is accused of failing to make court-ordered child support payments and is in arrears in excess of 12 monthly payments. Burns is being held on $4,000 cash-only bond.
Ronald G. Dryer, a 50-year-old Kirksville man is being held on a charge of tampering with a motor vehicle, a class D felony. He is accused of possessing a 2007 Jeep Liberty on Feb. 15. The owner of that vehicle was not listed on the warrant information. Dryer is being held on $15,000 cash-only bond and is also scheduled to appear in court May 9.
Ashley Snidow, a 21-year-old St. Joseph resident, was arrested after failing to appear in court on two counts of passing bad checks, both class A misdemeanors. She has posted $500 cash-only bond and is scheduled to appear in court May 9.
Also being arrested for failing to appear in court was John J. Millar, a 25-year-old resident of Humphreys. He failed to appear in court on an original charge of operating a motor vehicle without a valid license, a class E felony. He is being held on $15,000 cash-only bond and is scheduled to appear in court May 11.
