Feb. 18: firefighters responded to a small grass fire that got out of control on Johnson Drive. They also responded to unauthorized burning within the city limits due to the current burn ban. The ban is in effect until further notice.
Feb. 19: firefighters provided medical assistance to the Grundy County Ambulance, with Grundy County rural firefighters responding to a one-vehicle accident on Highway 65, with one person being transported to Wright Memorial Hospital.
Feb. 20: firefighters responded to two grass fires early this morning, with one being a controlled burn and no assistance needed and the other one with an unknown cause.
