A Trenton woman who was already being held in the Grundy County Detention Center on other charges is now facing charges of passing bad checks, while a Spickard man has been charged with burglary.
According to the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office, Emily Hendee, 35, is facing two counts of passing bad checks, both class C felonies. She is accused of writing two checks to Graves Menu Maker Foods, one for $577.82 on Nov. 30, 2016 and one on Dec. 8, 2016 for $508.43, knowing they would not be paid. Bond on these charges has been set at $2,000 cash-only and she is scheduled to appear in court Feb. 14.
Also arrested was Brandon Z. Brewer, 34, Spickard, who is charged with burglary in connection with an incident in which he allegedly entered unlawfully an inhabitable structure at 1025 N.W. 25th Ave., for the purpose of stealing. The structure is owned/possessed by Kevin Brewer. Brewer is being held in the Grundy County Detention Center on $10,000 cash or corporate surety bond and is also scheduled to appear in court Feb. 14.
