Humphreys Man Is Charged

A Humphreys man is being held on Grundy County charges of unlawful possession of a firearm and operating a motor vehicle on the highway without a valid license (third or subsequent offense).
According to the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office, John J. Millar, 25, was arrested on Saturday and is accused of knowingly possessing a Sten MK II firearm when he was prohibited from doing so due to his status as a felon. In addition, Millar is accused of operating a vehicle when he did not have a valid driver’s license. He has twice been convicted of that charge, once in 2014 and once in 2016.
Millar is being held in the Grundy County Detention Center on $15,000 cash-only bond.
