Cash Bond Set On Drug Charge

Cash bond of $50,000 has been set for a Trenton man who has been arrested on a charge of distribution of a controlled substance.
According to the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office, Rickey E. Shoemaker, 41, is charged with the class B felony of distribution, delivery, manufacture or production of a controlled substance. He is accused of possessing methamphetamine on March 30, 2015 with the intent to distribute, deliver or sell it. Shoemaker is a prior and persistent offender with four prior felonies, so if convicted, he would be eligible for an extended maximum term. He is being held in the Grundy County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in court Oct. 25.
