Trenton Police Department
Aug. 20: officers investigated a theft at a north residence.
Aug. 21: officers responded to a domestic disturbance at a north residence and made arrests for domestic assault at an east residence and a south residence. An arrest on a warrant was made at a south residence.
Aug. 22: a report of property damage was investigated at a west residence and officers responded to a domestic disturbance at a west residence. Officers went to an unattended death in the downtown area and made an arrest on a warrant at a west residence in an unrelated matter. An arrest for forgery was made in the downtown area.
Aug. 23: two subjects violated court orders at east residences and an arrest was made for driving while suspended in the east part of town. A theft was investigated in the east part of town and officers checked the health and safety of a subject at a north residence.
Aug. 24: an incidence of endangering the welfare of a child was investigated at a south residence and a report of fraud was investigated at a south business.
Aug. 25: an arrest was made for trespassing at a west residence and officers investigated a nuisance violation at a south residence. An arrest for assault of a law enforcement officer took place at a west residence. Officers responded to a west residence where a subject violated a court order and investigated a theft in the north part of town.
Aug. 26: a theft was reported at a north residence.
Aug. 27: officers responded to a south residence for general information and investigated a theft at a south business. An arrest for driving while revoked took place in the north part of town.
Aug. 28: a theft was investigated at a north business.
Aug. 29: officers were at a west residence for general information.
Aug. 30: a report of property damage was investigated at a west residence.
Aug. 31: thefts were reported in the east part of town, in the west part of town and at a north residence. A nuisance violation was investigated in the downtown area.
Sept. 1: three nuisance violations were investigated in the south part of town and thefts were investigated at two north locations. Officers went to a west residence and the downtown area for general information and made an arrest on a warrant at a south residence.
Sept. 2: officers investigated an unattended death at a north residence and made an arrest on a warrant in the downtown area in an unrelated matter
Trenton Fire Department
Sept. 4: firefighters responded to the south side of the Charlie Dye Bridge, where an older male Chillicothe resident was struck in mud up to his knees and was in water above his waist. While he was not injured, he had become exhausted from attempting to escape from the mud. He had slipped down the muddy bank and into the water while fishing and had been found by another fisherman after spending almost an hour attempting to escape from the mud. Rescue crews were able to get a rope around his waist and hoist him from the mud, ultimately freeing him. He was examined by Grundy County EMS personnel and released to the care of his wife.
Sept. 5: firefighters provided medical assistance at a north residence and provided assistance to the Trenton Police Department and Grundy County Ambulance Service at a north intersection.
