One Charged With DWI, Another With Drug Possession

Two persons were arrested over the weekend, including a Trenton woman who is facing two felony drug charges.
According to the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office, 33-year-old Cassie Leeper is charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance except 35 grams or less of marijuana. The charges are both class C felonies and were filed after she was found to be in possession of methamphetamine and Oxycodone, both schedule II controlled substances. She is being held on $15,000 cash or corporate surety bond and is scheduled to appear in court June 28.
Also arrested John L. McMillan, 53, Jamesport, who is charged with first degree sexual misconduct, a class A misdemeanor, and driving while intoxicated, also a class A misdemeanor. McMillan is accused of operating a motor vehicle on Route A while under the influence of alcohol and also of exposing his genitals under circumstances in which he knew that behavior was likely to cause alarm. McMillan is being held on $3,000 cash or corporate bond.
