Three persons are being held on cash bond after being arrested, including a man charged with assaulting a Trenton police officer.
According to the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office, Brandon C. Young, 25, Trenton, is being held in the Grundy County Detention Center, charged with resisting arrest and third degree assault of a law enforcement officer. He is accused of passively and actively resisting arrest by Sgt. Jeb Walker on May 15, when Sgt. Walker was attempting to detain him for civil detoxification. In the course of his resistance, Young allegedly spit on Sgt. Walker. Young’s bond has been set at $2,500 cash-only.
Also arrested was Anthony M. Roberts, St. Joseph, who is charged with second degree domestic assault in connection with an incident in which he allegedly attempted to cause serious physical injury to a female household member by choking her. The incident allegedly occurred May 15. Roberts is being held on $15,000 cash-only bond.
A third defendant, Christy L. Miller, 46, is being held on $1,500 cash-only bond after being arrested for passing bad checks. She is accused of writing a check for $600 to HD Auto LLC on Nov. 24, 2015, knowing it would not be paid.
All three defendants are scheduled to appear in court May 24.
