Two Are Facing Check Charges

Two Trenton residents are facing misdemeanor charges of passing bad checks involving checks written in 2015.
According to the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office, 41-year-old Toby Streett is charged with one count of class A misdemeanor passing bad checks. He is accused of writing a check to Amoco on July 4 in the amount of $81.39, knowing it would not be paid. He is being held on $500 cash-only bond.
Also arrested was Brandy L. Streett, 33, Trenton, who is charged with two counts of misdemeanor passing bad checks. She is accused of writing checks to Main Stop on May 28 in the amount of $54.27 and on May 30 for $45.66, knowing they would not be paid. She has posted $1,000 cash-only bond.
Both defendants are scheduled to appear in court March 22.
