Several arrests were made over the weekend, including the arrest of a Laredo man who allegedly violated a protection order.
According to the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office, 34-year-old Nathan B. Bethards is accused of violating the terms and conditions of a protection order by yelling and cursing at a female from his vehicle and making verbal threats for her to drop the order of protection. Bethards is being held on $5,000 cash-only bond and is scheduled to appear in court Sept. 22.
Also arrested was Gena M. Lee, 25, Holton, KS, who was arrested in Topeka, KS and returned to Missouri to face two felony counts of passing bad checks, for which she had not appeared in court. She is being held on $5,000 cash-only bond and is scheduled to appear in court Oct. 15.
Another person, 49-year-old Lyle H. Hendee of Unionville, was arrested on a Grundy County warrant charging him with misdemeanor passing bad checks. He is accused of writing a check to Trenton Hardware on June 29 for $158.86, knowing it would not be paid. He has posted $800 cash-only bond and is scheduled to appear in court Tuesday.
Also charged with passing bad checks was 60-year-old Robert L. Duncan of Trenton, who is charged with passing bad checks, a class A misdemeanor. He is accused of writing a check to Trenton Main Stop for $79.10, knowing it would not be paid. He is being held on $600 cash-only bond and is scheduled to appear in court Tuesday.
A Warsaw resident, Thomas Culver, 45, was arrested for failing to obey a judge’s order in a non-support case. He is being held on $10,000 cash-only bond and is scheduled to appear in court Tuesday.
