Cash Bond Set For Burglary, Assault

Cash bond has been set for a man accused of burglary and assault.
According to the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office, 38-year-old Michael L. Puckett of Spickard has been arrested and charged with first degree burglary, a class B felony, and second degree assault, a class C felony. He is accused of entering unlawfully a structure at 120 Highland St., possessed by Christine Sahagun for the purpose of committing assault. He is also accused of causing physical injury to Richard Powers by striking him in the face with his fist and fracturing his eye socket. The incidents allegedly occurred on July 11.
Puckett is being held on $25,000 cash-only bond and he is scheduled to appear in court July 14.
