Only a minor injury was reported in an accident Sunday that caused moderate damage to one vehicle.
According to Trenton Police Officer April Locke’s accident report, the mishap occurred when a car driven by Christopher J. Brown of Trenton was northbound on Lulu Street. Brown had stopped at the stop intersection with 17th Street and then made a left turn onto 17th Street, not seeing an approaching vehicle. He said he unintentionally pulled in front of that vehicle and then made a quick right turn onto Mable Street in hopes that the driver of the other vehicle would not have to brake or be made to strike his vehicle from behind. Brown then lost control of the car, which went to the opposite side of the roadway, striking a KCP&L utility pole.
There was moderate damage to Brown’s car, which was towed from the scene. Brown sustained a knot on his head, but refused medical treatment at the scene.
