Aug. 5: firefighters responded to 1304 Shanklin Ave., where a smoke detector had malfunctioned.
Aug. 6: firefighters responded to a false alarm at the old Wright Memorial Hospital and provided medical assistance at two north residences.
Aug. 8: firefighters provided medical assistance at two east residences and at an apartment building on the east side of town.
