Charges Filed In Hit and Run

A Trenton man has been charged in a hit-and-run accident that occurred Jan. 13 when the vehicle he was operating struck a house.

According to Trenton Police Officer Josh Gott’s accident report, a vehicle had driven off the roadway and struck a house at 1804 Eastview Dr. The vehicle continued on. An investigation led police to Brian Mock, 43, 1919 Savage St., who has been charged with careless and imprudent driving by striking a fixed object and leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident. He is scheduled to appear in court Feb. 7.
Lt. Rex Ross investigated an accident Wednesday in which the driver of a vehicle, George Dick of 701 1/2 Main St., was northbound on Jefferson Street. He took his eyes off the roadway to reach for a flashlight and struck a car parked on the right side of the road. The occupant of the parked vehicle, George Cunningham of Stanberry, orignally said he did not sustain injuries, but later reported pain to his upper chest area.
Dick, 52, was ticketed for careless and imprudent driving by striking a parked vehicle. He is also scheduled to appear in court Feb. 7.
